Haptic Teaching

We propose a haptic teaching system that uses haptic devices to teach hand skills. With our haptic teaching method the haptic device produces expert's force that is in the opposite in direction. The trainee tries to cancel the force and consequently, necessary force is "proactively" generated. Using the opposite force presentation and virtual fixtures, we succeed the same time presentation of position and force information, and realize a proactive learning.
